Authors Note: Another fantastic entry for Christian Bale. He is backed by a stellar cast in this period drama piece that launches us into the post-colonial dominance of the America’s. This film takes us on an x-country journey and gives us insight into hardship and injustice, it even provides a focus on mental health during a period where it would not have been considered. You’ll find yourself cheering for the success of the characters and hoping for love to be found in the end. One downside to the film is the slurring of important dialogue which leaves you rewinding to get a second glimpse. Fans of Dances With Wolves will love this one!
