Matriotism is school, hometown, or parish pride or loyalty, as opposed to nationalism or patriotism. It can also represent the love or celebration of a woman’s influence upon society and is the female equivalent to male patriotism. It is love of the motherland, as opposed to patriotism as love of the fatherland.
Matriotism is the love and pride shown towards a person/s home town or equivalent establishment. It does not have to be a place of birth and can be shown in later stages of life. Matriotism can also be shown towards the Matriarch of a family or similar. It is the direct opposite of Patriotism.
