A Pundit is an expert in a particular subject or field who is frequently called upon to give their opinions to the public.
A person who is viewed or claims to be an expert and markets him or herself as such is not necessarily a practitioner in the subject matter they purport to represent. Pundits are often used in sports and political commentary to give views and opinions. These views and opinions may not be based on factual or research-based sources.
