Movie Review: A high school swim champion with a troubled past enrols in the U.S. Coast Guard’s “A” School, where legendary rescue swimmer Ben Randall teaches him some hard lessons about loss, love, and self-sacrifice.

Authors Note: Kevin Costner is in his prime! An often-overlooked US Coastguard gets its turn to shine with this action/drama. It has a healthy mix of real-world scenarios to help ask questions of your own ability. This film would have scored higher, but unfortunately, we can still see traces of “Kelso” in Ashton Kutcher’s delivery. Fans of “Top Gun” will find themselves right at home with this film.
