Movie Review: Widows depicts four women with nothing in common except a debt left behind by their dead husbands’ criminal activities who take fate into their own hands and conspire to forge a future on their own terms.

Authors Note: It is fantastic to see an organic entry into the Female action world with the re-telling of this political thriller. We are not interested in boring re-makes with reverse material (“Ghostbusters” & “Ocean’s 7”) but are thrilled to see a dynamic cast stand up and fulfil this film in a way that keeps you both guessing and intrigued. A number of huge stars make an appearance in this flick but Viola Davis leads her team with a cold determination that only she can. It is also exciting to see what Elizabeth Debicki delivered in her role and we found ourselves following her character growth closely and with much excitement. Fans of “The Town” and “L.A Confidential” will love this one!
